Ross, Mitch & Scott are coming to you this month from The Studio to encourage you to enjoy local and virtual activities, entertainment, and more. There’s plenty of opportunities to get out to enjoy the crisp Autumn air and appreciate the beautiful changing colors of the trees, or grab your boxing gloves & head to The Studio for a class!

The Studio is a new boxing & fitness studio in Downtown Grand Rapids. They offer a wide range of fitness & boxing courses. This is the perfect spot for you to come finish your year strong in great health. 

We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy, safe, and enjoying the last days of sunshine and warmth of this Summer in West Michigan!

In-Person Events:

Dia de Los Muertos 

November 1st starting at 1pm

Join us for a family-friendly day of Disney's Coco, food, and activities. We will be showing Coco in both English and Spanish with subtitles for both. The Grand Rapids Art Museum will be providing art bags for children to go along with the film. Social Distancing will be practiced and masks will be required. Tickets are sold in groups of 4 for $20 to adhere to Studio Park's Social Distancing guidelines.

The English showing is from 1- 3:30 PM and the Spanish showing is from 4 – 6:30 PM

HarvestFest

November 1-8th

To celebrate the harvest season and the impact it has on our favorite beverages, the 1st Annual Harvest Fest will begin at open on Saturday, October 24th, and will run through Sunday, November 8th. Each HopCat location has curated a list of harvest ales, hard ciders & pumpkin ales that represent the hard work and fresh flavors our local brewers and cider makers put into their craft.

Free Groove

November 3rd at 6:15pm

Sweat away stress and dance some joy into your heart while following simple steps and easy toning moves. Groove is perfect for anyone who wants to add some fun into their current workout routine. If you like to move to a variety of great music, this class is for you.

West Side Community Cleanup

November 8th at 3pm

Join JFBL in helping clean up our communities for the second time! Bring gloves, trash bags and people! We will have tables set up for food, water and supplies. let's create some unity in our community!

We will gather at Lincoln park and march in order to rally the community to join us and eventually make our way back to Lincoln park where we will have snacks and waters 

Paws, Pints, Pretzels

November 5th at 4pm

Bring your furry friends and join the Canopy by Hilton Downtown Grand Rapids for a socially distanced fundraising event for Hearts of Hope Rescue.

This event is for the Dogs! Canopy's first-floor restaurant, Portico, will have a full bar, fresh-baked fire-roasted stuffed pretzels, munchies, cupcakes, puppachinos, and more. A portion of proceeds and all tips will be donated to Hearts of Hope Rescue. The Rescue will also be bringing a few of the available dogs who are up for adoption.

AM Yoga, a favorite local studio of ours, is currently offering donation-based, in-person and live-streamed yoga classes every week (oftentimes, nearly every day).
