Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Grand Rapids, MI

As we’ve shared before and maybe you’ve even gathered from our social media, we are a team of pet people and even more specifically, we’re a team of dog people. We love taking our dogs on walks, playing with them outside, or carting them to their favorite dog parks. But today we are going to be talking about several local dog-friendly restaurants. That’s right! Now, man’s (and woman’s) best friend can join you for dinner.

Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Grand Rapids, MI

Tupelo Honey

We’re kicking off our tour today at Tupelo Honey, in Downtown Grand Rapids. This is one of our favorite spots to visit to get Walter a nice little treat because they have a full menu dedicated just for your dogs. They have options like bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and more just for your pet, which is amazing. And of course, you also have a full menu of Southern home-style cooking with so many delicious comfort foods. This is one of the best brunch spots in town so definitely check it out!

Furniture City Creamery

If you’re looking to fulfill your and your pup’s sweet tooth, head on over to enjoy some dessert at Furniture City Creamery in East Hills. They have a wide variety of ice creams that are all made from scratch for you, and of course, a variety of pup cups that you can grab for your dog, as well. They have a patio in the back, so it’s a great spot where you can take your dog, hang with your friends, and enjoy a nice, little sweet treat all year round.

Dog-Friendly Patios

Outside of the two that we just mentioned, there are a number of other dog-friendly patios and restaurants in Grand Rapids. Places like Garage Bar, Mitten Brewing, Harmony Brewing, Sundance, and a number of other restaurants have pet-friendly patios to bring your dog and enjoy a nice meal or drink out.

Beastro

A new spot coming to the city that we are super excited about is going to be called Beastro. It is a people-friendly dog restaurant where you can pick out fresh protein, fresh fruit, and fresh vegetables for your dog, and they can enjoy the meal in the restaurant. What’s really cool about this space is all of the food is going to be made right in front of you. Even better, for every bowl that you buy, 25 cents of those proceeds are going to be going to Paws with a Cause, which is a West Michigan nonprofit.
