So as far as affordability goes, Ann Arbor might be more of a stretch for most people in terms of their price point, whereas Grand Rapids is much more affordable and you get a little more bang for your buck on this side of the state.

Atmosphere

If you have the opportunity to visit each city, one thing you’ll notice is the sprawling downtown area of Ann Arbor. It’s much more spread out, but coming to the Grand Rapids area, you’re going to see more of the tight-knit feel of a community and the downtown area.

While there’s always something to do in each city, especially in the Grand Rapids area, because we are a main stop for concerts. Whereas in Ann Arbor, the main stop for concerts, shows, and games is going to require making a trip over to the Detroit area.
