Location of Fulton Heights

Fulton Heights is a fantastic neighborhood to go for a run or walk your dog. It has beautiful tree-lined streets that you’ll love. Schools in Fulton Heights 

Fulton Heights has two K-6 schools located here. There is Livingstone Academy, which has about 158 students and then there’s William Abney Academy, with about 328 students. 

Hillcrest Public Garden 

Just across the street from Livingstone Academy is one of the largest gardens in Michigan called Hillcrest Garden. This has over four and a half acres of land. Hillcrest Garden started in the late nineties with a group of neighbors who didn’t want Grand Rapids Public Schools to sell the land to developers. Every year, returning gardeners get first dibs on the plots, then the remaining plots are open to the direct neighbors in Fulton Heights, and then it expands to the wider community.

Fulton Heights is also home to some great businesses. Some favorites are Salvation Army, ACE Hardware, Schnitz Deli, which is a fantastic lunch spot, Common Ground Coffee House, Grand Rapids Bicycle Company, and Family Fare.
