February 2019 3×3 – Welcome to the Polar Vortex
Are you staying safe and warm through the Polar Vortex!? Winter seemed to be taking it easy on us but if there’s one thing anyone in the midwest knows, it’s that winter won’t be afraid to make up for lost time and that seems to be the case! While we had all the intent to head out into the city, the weather called for a last minute change of plans consisting of big mugs of tea and cocoa, warm fires, and big cozy blankets. We hope you’re all snuggled up and staying safe and warm as we dive into some fun events around Grand Rapids this month…

This 4-day festival (Feb 14 – 17, 2019), organized by DGRI and partners, is designed to take advantage of Michigan’s cold climate, provide fun ways for people to get outside and enjoy the season, and make Grand Rapids a better winter city – which makes Grand Rapids a better year-round city. World of Winter features a variety of free and low-cost events and activities for both families and adults”
