Fall has arrived! The trees are starting to change color, there are crispy leaves to crunch on cool afternoon walks, and it’s the perfect time for apple cider during your trip to the orchard! And as you all know, it’s also the perfect time for Art Prize in downtown Grand Rapids!

For this month’s 3×3 video we made our way downtown to check out all that’s happening during Art Prize and get ourselves right in the middle of the action! There’s still a few days left to enjoy this year’s festivities so get downtown and check out all of the great art while you can.

Bark in the Dark

Description: The Humane Society of West Michigan is hosting their 6th Annual Bark in the Dark on Saturday, October 6th at Riverside Park! This family & dog friendly 5K and 1 Mile fun run/walk benefits animals in need at Humane Society of West Michigan, a 100% donor funded 501(c)3 non-profit that promotes humane treatment and responsible care of animals in West Michigan through education, example, placement, and protection. Participants have the opportunity to raise additional donations to support these animals.

GRR Runway 5k

Location: Gerald R. Ford International Airport – 6450 Air Cargo Dr. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512

Description: Trivium Racing will be teaming up with Gerald R. Ford International Airport to bring you the GRR Runway 5k!  This event is going to be amazing! Athletes will start by running through the tunnel that goes under a runway, then head out onto one of the major airport runways for a lightning fast 5K race! The Make a Wish Foundation of Michigan will benefit from a portion of the proceeds. This is not your usual 5k route so this is sure to be a special event!

Jurassic Quest

Dates: October 12-14, 2018

Description: Jurassic Quest is America’s Largest and most realistic Dinosaur Event. Guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and The Triassic period and experience for themselves what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs. There are many additional attractions and activities for all kinds of dinosaur fans, like an opportunity to dig up fossils like a real paleontologist, ride on the back of a 24ft TRex, or the spiky, Overgrown, Carnotaurus. This event is sure to be fun for the whole family!
